Lahore: Veteran television actress and host, Nadia Jamil has announced that she’s battling breast cancer.
The renowned actress took to social media to reveal her diagnosis, “Last week, I was diagnosed with cancer,” she tweeted.

Sharing the details of her diagnosis she explained that she immediately consulted her general physician after she felt a lump in her chest, who then referred her to a hospital where she was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer with grade three tumour.
Jamil went on to highlight the significance of self-checks and vigilance that women need to abide by, “Regular self-checks are important ladies! Please act fast if you feel any abnormalities. Do NOT ever ignore your body, your health,” she wrote.
She has urged his fans to encourage ladies with ages in excess of 40 in their families to opt for precautionary medical check-ups as women over 40 are quite susceptible to breast cancer.
Being one of the most active celebrities on social media, Nadia has announced that she will not be posting and replying to her social media accounts as per usual, “I may not be able to be as regular answering all your tweets to me. Sorry!” she noted.
