National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced to file a supplementary reference against PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane Case.
The accountability watchdog on Thursday, announced its decision to file a supplementary reference against ex-president Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane Case.
According to NAB sources, several more suspects have agreed to become approver against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman.
Prior to this, two former presidents of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) turned approver against Zardari in the Park Lane Case.
The development comes as earlier, an accountability court in Islamabad indicted Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane Reference on August 10 via video link.
Park Lane Case
NAB has accused Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur of extending loan and its misappropriation by M/s Parthenon Private Limited, M/S Park Lane Estate Private Limited and are being tried by NAB under NAB Ordinance, 1999, and the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010.
The accountability watch dog has accused Asif Ali Zardari of being the director of Park Lane company which was used to launder black money via fake accounts.
In addition to it, the former president is also accused of misusing his authority as the head of state that costed up to Rs 4 billion to the national exchequer.
