The National Assembly (NA) on Monday, approved a bill for the provision of teaching Holy Quran in Urdu language in universities across the country.
Ali Muhammad Khan – Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs presented the resolution in the lower house seeking for the teaching of Holy Quran in Urdu language in universities.
“It is necessary to make proper arrangements for understanding of the Holy Quran in universities,” the resolution contended.

The move aims at imparting religious knowledge, principles and virtues in the younger generation of the country.
Meanwhile, the house on Monday, passed another resolution commemorating Kashmir Martyrs’ Day. The resolution reiterated Pakistan’s commitment and unconditional support to the Kashmir cause and the right of self-determination of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK)
