Murree is expected to remain closed for tourists on Eid ul Fitr holidays due to coronavirus threat.
According to the statement issued by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, tourist attractions and hotels will remain closed on Eid holidays to ensure the provision of social distancing measures as recommended by medical experts to curb the virus spread.
Furthermore, DC Rawalpindi highlighted that the decision to close Murree for tourists on Eid, along with other precautionary measures are aimed at preventing large gatherings of people to stop the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus.
He has urged the people to abstain from visiting Murree during Eid holidays as only local residents will be allowed to enter the city premises.
