The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, led by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rahman, met today in Karachi to decide about the sighting of crescent moon of Shawwal 1441 Hijri.
The committee received multiple reports of moon sightings from some parts of the country.

The much-awaited Eid announcement was subjected to conflict between the minister for Science Fawad Chaudhry, who relied upon scientific knowledge to announce Eid on Sunday, and Mufti Muneeb, who awaited physical evidence to announce Eid.
After receiving evidence from different parts of the country, Eid was finally announced to be held tomorrow.
Mufti Muneeb criticized Fawad Chaudhry for interfering in the business of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee and demanded the Prime Minister Imran Khan to stop his minister from prying into the committee’s job.
