A Session court has extended PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and son Hamza Shehbaz’s pre-arrest bail in Money Laundering Case till August 2nd next month.
During the case hearing on Saturday (today), FIA’s investigation officer apprised the court that both Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz have been issued notices and investigation record will be presented once its completed.
Meanwhile, the defence counsel sought adjournment of the case citing holidays in the Punjab courts and argued that Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz are pre-occupied in NAB cases and that’s why they have not been able to join the investigation process.
The court then approved the extension of pre-arrest bail of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz till August 2nd.
The court directed the FIA to investigate Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz as per law.
“The suspects should not be harassed on hearing,” the court remarked.
It is pertinent to know that the senior PML-N leaders had secured pre-arrest bail in money laundering/sugar scandal case on June 21st last month.
