Pakistani diplomat Mohammad Sadiq, on Saturday, has been appointed as Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met with Mohammad Sadiq and congratulated him on his appointment as special envoy to Afghanistan and conveyed his best wishes to Mr Sadiq.

Mohammed Sadiq – MA Political Science from Peshawar University, MA International Affairs from Columbia University and MS Defence and Security Studies from the National Defence University in Islamabad, has previously served as Secretary to the National Security Division Cabinet Committee on National Security (Pakistan) (CCNS) and on various other positions in Foreign Ministry.
Speaking to the newly appointed special envoy, FM Qureshi stated that a peaceful and politically stable Afghanistan is essential to regional security and peace and Pakistan will continue its unwavering support and efforts in Afghan peace process.
