Mir Afzal, ex-deputy inspector general of police (DIG) has been appointed as caretaker Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government which completed its five-year term in Gilgit-Baltistan has appointed former DIG Mir Afzal to take charge as caretaker CM who is expected to take oath on June 25, Thursday (tomorrow).
During these five years, the Gilgit Baltistan assembly held 48 sessions across the span of 182 days of proceeding, and passed 62 Acts and approved 178 resolutions.

The Gilgit Baltistan Assembly has started working on 24 June 2015 under Speaker Fida Muhammad Nashad as its speaker and Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman as Chief Minister and leader of the house.
