Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday (today), directed authorities to form a medical board for former President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to details, during the hearing of bail plea filed by former President Asif Ali Zardari in money laundering case, IHC directed authorities to form a medical board for the PPP co-chairman on his prevalent health concerns.
The medical board, comprising of medical superintendent (MS) of Ziauddin Hospital, will review Asif Ali Zardari’s health.
Furthermore, IHC has given two weeks to submit Zardari’s medical reports.
The court also accepted Asif Ali Zardari’s plea seeking exemption from personal appearance in the hearing.
Zardari’s lawyer – Farooq H Naek apprised the court their bail plea is based on medical grounds and that the accused has already been awarded bail by court in two other cases.
Mr Naek highlighted that Asif Ali Zardari is suffering from diabetes, chest and heart diseases.
