Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has announced that matric and intermediate examinations in the province will be held in July next month.
Expressing his views at a press briefing, Saeed Ghani announced that the schedule of matric and intermediate exams will be held in July with the detailed schedule expected to be announced within two days.
The provincial minister noted that the decision to hold examinations will be held after consulting Sindh Education and Literacy Department Committee, various experts and all other stakeholders.
Addressing the issue of teachers’ recruitment, Saeed Ghani apprised that a large number of people have applied for the 37,000 vacancies for teachers from all across Sindh.
However, due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, IBA Sukkur is unable to conduct test and scrutinize the applicants.
Saeed Ghani also highlighted that the Sindh government will complete 155 schemes pertaining to education sector.
Government is focused on improving the already existing infrastructure of schools and educational institutions which was effected by last year’s floods and rains.
Saeed Ghani noted that Sindh government has already re-opened 2,247 schools which were previously non-operational.
