National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has issued new directives for marriage halls instructing them to be closed by 10 pm.
As per the new SOPs issued by NCOC, gatherings in marriage halls will be limited to 300 and 500 for indoor and outdoor functions respectively.
Furthermore, marriage halls will be closed by 10 pm and gatherings will also be subjected to two-hour time limit in accordance with the new directives issued by NCOC.
NCOC has also warned off strict action against marriage halls found violating the government guidelines and restrictions amid COVID-19 outbreak.
Marriage halls will be sealed and will be penalized via heavy fines for their failure to ensure and implement NCOC SOPs.
However, to facilitate clients and customers, the closure of such marriage halls will be implemented after two weeks of being notified of the decision.
The new SOPs are aimed at tackling increasing COVID-19 cases in the country. Pakistan’s coronavirus toll stands at 317,595 cases with 6,552 deaths so far.
