Markets, shops and small businesses have been allowed to resume their operations from today as Sindh government relaxes its lockdown directives across the province.
According to the notification issued by Sindh Home Department, shops, small markets will be allowed to reopen for business, although traders will have to strictly abide by the healthcare guidelines and SOPs issued by the government.
The Sindh government has allowed small markets and retail shops to conduct business from 6 am to 4 pm, for four days a week.
Although the lockdown has been lifted for various sectors, it is still applicable to several businesses and industries till the end of May, the notification added.
It is to be noted that shopping malls, educational institutions, restaurants, hotels, marquees, marriage halls are still closed, and public processions and gatherings are still prohibited.
Traders and business community have appreciated the government’s decision to allow the reopening of markets and business centres and that it will somewhat help them in overcoming the grim economic repercussions of coronavirus lockdown.
