Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted light rain on Saturday night (today) and Sunday in Karachi.
Karachi is expected to observe partly cloudy weather over the next few days with the probability of light rainfall and drizzle in various areas of the city over the weekend, said PMD.

It is to be noted that the metropolitan city experienced a severe and unexpected dust storm on June 3. The city experienced winds of up to 60-70 kilometers per hour, along with light rain in some areas.
Four people were killed, while 18 more were injured in various incidents across the city. Moreover major power outages were also reported in various localities including Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13, Korangi, Orangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Surjani, Malir, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Gadap, North Karachi, Safoora Goth, Shah Faisal, Shadman Town, Industrial Area, Federal B Area and others.
In addition to it, PMD has also announced its outlook for Monsoon season this year from July to September.
“Monsoon rainfall is expected to be slightly above normal ( +10 per cent) during July to September 2020 in Pakistan. Sindh and Kashmir are likely to receive moderately above normal (+20 per cent) rainfall during the season,” read the notification issued by PMD.
