Nawab of Junagarh – Muhammad Jahangir Khan Khanji on Monday, urged United Nations (UN) to play its due role and liberate the state of Junagarh from illegal Indian occupation.
Expressing his views in a press conference in Islamabad, Nawab Jahangir Khanji said that illegal occupation, annexation of the state of Junagarh is a violation of international laws and conventions.
Khanji urged United Nations to play its due role in liberating and ending illegal Indian occupation of Junagarh by India.
He highlighted that his forefathers had intended to join Pakistan during the 1947 partition of sub-continent when Indian forces illegally annexed the state of Junagarh – an occupation that still exists, he added.
Furthermore, Nawab reiterated his resolve in continuing his struggle for the liberation of Junagarh from Indian occupation.
He requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to support the cause and highlight, raise the issue of Junagarh at international platforms as similar to that of Jammu and Kashmir.
