Security forces on Thursday, seize large cache of explosives, bombs from Balochistan’s Zhob district.
Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Thursday, conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Zhob district.
During the raid, security forces seized huge cache of arms and explosives including eight bombs weighing six to eight kilograms, remote control, detonators, ball bearings, wires and a bag full of material used to make improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from Qamaruddin Karez area.
As per sources, the explosives were smuggled from neighboring Afghanistan and were hidden by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to be used in terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.
The development comes as security forces have been extensively targeted by Baloch separatists and terrorist organizations.
At least 14 men, including 7 Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack on OGDC convoy in Balochistan on October 15 last week.
