Lahore – Pakistan’s second largest city has been included in New York Times’ ‘52 places to love in 2021′ list.
New York Times’ ‘52 places to love in 2021′ has termed Lahore as a must visit place for travel enthusiasts around the world citing city’s vibrancy and rich cultural traditions, heritage.
‘Lahoris are some of the kindest, most hospitable people. They love to take care of you and feed you. Lahore’s hot summers can feel oppressive, but in winter, in the cool dusk, lights twinkle in the fog’ said the US based international publication praising Lahore and its people.
The city’s historic core, is studded with monuments from the Mughal era, it added.
The list also includes 51 other travel destinations, including Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands, Siwa Oasis in Egypt, Isfahan – Iran, Malpaís in Costa Rica, Dakar – Senegal, Laugavegur Trail in Iceland, Jordan’s Wadi Rum, Niansogoni in Burkina Faso, Asunción – Paraguay and others.
Zulfi Bukhari – Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) for overseas Pakistanis, took to social media to highlight and praise Lahore’s recognition and acknowledgement by the US based publication.
