Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, on Thursday, announced to extend public holidays from April 13 to April 18, 2020.
According to the notification issued by the Relief Rehabilitation & Settlement Department, “The provincial government is pleased to extend the public holidays from 13th April, 2020 (Monday) till 18th April, 2020 (Saturday).”
The notification provided exemption to essential services such as factories responsible for manufacturing of food items and medicines/medical equipment.
A total of 656 coronavirus cases have been reported in the province with 25 deaths.
Earlier, on April 4, Punjab government too had extended its province-wide lockdown till April 14 due to continuous surge in COVID-19 cases.
