Peshawar: The inter-district public transport ban has been extended till April 12 by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to extend the ban on inter-district public transport to curb the COVID-19 spread in the province.
Initially, the provincial administration had suspended public transport on March 23 for a period of one week.
A province-wide lockdown, along with Section 144 has already been imposed in the province.
The decision comes as the province has observed a surge in coronavirus cases, reaching a total of 405. A total of 62 patients have recovered, while 16 deaths have been reported in the province due to novel virus.
