Sindh High Court (SHC), on Wednesday, turned downed the bail plea of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah in assets beyond income case.
SHC Circuit Bench Sukkur’s two-member bench, announced the verdict which was reserved on April 14. The Court has also rejected the bail plea of his son MPA Farukh Ahmed Shah.
Expressing his views on the verdict, Mukesh Kumar – Khursheed Shah’s lawyer, stated that they will apply for bail in the Supreme Court after consulting with Aitzaz Ahsan and Raza Rabbani.
National Accountability Bureau, has already filed a reference against Khursheed Shan, his two wives, two sons and son-in-law Owais Shah for owning Rs240 million more than their sources of income can justify.
The senior PPP leader and former opposition leader of National Assembly was arrested on September 18, last year in assets beyond income case. Shah’s two wives and 12 other people have been granted bail.
