Two terrorists were neutralized by security forces in Baldia Town area of Karachi in a joint operation by law enforcement agencies (LEAs).
Sindh Rangers and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) jointly conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Baldia Town area of Karachi.
During the operation, two militants of a banned organization opened fire on the security forces, which resorted to retaliatory fire.
Both terrorists were killed in the counter attack by LEAs.
The militants have been identified as Adnan and Rafique.
Prior to this, CTD apprehended a suspected terrorist named Liaquat from near Lahore Railway station on Tuesday a day earlier.
A suicide vest was confiscated from the suspect who was waiting for his accomplice, said CTD officials. Two hand grenades, a 30-bore pistol and six bullets were recovered from the suspect.
Officials fear that the other accomplice was also a suicide bomber.
The suspect was then shifted to an undisclosed location, meanwhile an FIR was registered as further investigation is underway by security agencies along with the search for the missing terrorist.
