Traders of Electronics Market in Karachi barred from conducting online business by police.
According to sources, several traders and business owners of Karachi’s electronics market in Saddar, were denied from conducing online business and were demanded to present permission letter in order to resume their business.
“We are acting on the government’s orders and cannot allow anyone without permission letter,” said the police.
As per the notification issued by Sindh government, traders and business owners have to strictly abide by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the government as a prerequisite to conduct business amid COVID-19 outbreak.
Earlier, Sindh government had permitted various online business to resume operations on conditions that a list of the shop owners, staffers and delivery boys working at the business place should be provided to the authorities, while face masks, hand gloves and sanitizers must be provided to them.
