Karachi is expected to receive heavy rainfall from Sunday night (today), as monsoon system enters the country.
Strong winds, have been blowing from West and South West of the metropolitan along with light drizzle on Sunday evening.
Various areas of the city including North Karachi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Lasbela, Bahadurabad, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Ahsanabad and others have reported dust storm and light drizzle.
According to Meteorological department, winds measuring up to 40-44 kilometers per hour have been recorded in the metropolis.
The monsoon system is expected to enter Karachi on Sunday night bringing extensive rainfall, and could last for 2-3 days, said PMD.

It is to be noted that Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has already warned of urban flooding in Karachi and other cities of Sindh as the province is expected to receive wide-spread rain and thundershowers, especially in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta Badin, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Jamsharo and Dadu.
