Authorities have enforced strict measures closing more than 100 restaurants and imposing micro smart lockdown in various areas of Karachi due to increasing COVID-19 cases.
Karachi authorities have sealed six marriage halls and 103 restaurants in the metropolitan city over various COVID-19 SOPs violations.
Meanwhile Sindh government has also imposed micro smart lockdown in city’s various areas amid increasing COVID-19 cases.
The areas subjected to micro smart lockdown include Creek Vista Apartments Block A, Phase VIII, DHA and Askari III in Karachi’s District South.
As per the details, Creek Vista Apartments comprise of 702 residents, whereas Askari III has a population of 487 people.
Prior to this, a similar micro smart lockdown was imposed in Manghopir’s Saima Villas and Samama City with a total population of around 4,000 people.
The development comes as earlier, National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had expressed concerns over increasing COVID-19 cases, specifically in Karachi.
