Karachi is likely to witness heatwave after March 30th with temperature reaching up to 40°C, warned Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
PMD has apprised that Karachi’s wind direction will change as the ‘western system’ is expected to be replaced by dry and hot winds from the northwest.
According to PMD spokesperson Khalid Mehmood Malik the heatwave is expected to last till Friday.
No heatwave is predicted during Ramazan and no harsh weather conditions are expected during the month, he added.
Citizens have been advised to stay indoors and take necessary precautions such as covering one’s head, staying hydrated when going outdoors.
