Pakistan Army troops from Karachi Corps are conducting ‘Jidar -ul- Hadeed’ military exercise in Thar desert to develop new tactics, formations and enhance battle readiness.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops of Karachi Corps, during the ongoing Exercise “Jidar -ul- Hadeed” in Thar Desert, are busy in practicing coordinated all round defense and survival in the desert under challenging conditions.
“The field exercise that commenced on 28 January has focused on enhancing operational preparedness, synergy amongst various components of forces and effective response measures under actual battlefield environment,” said ISPR.
Defense experts say the military exercise is a befitting response to the ‘Yudh Abhyas’ (War Game) military exercise between US Army and Indian Army at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, India near Pakistan border.
US-Indo ‘Yudh Abhyas’ Military Exercise
This is the 16th iteration of the annual exercise, whose venue switches between America and India each year.
The two-week exercise will witness the Indian and the US armies carrying out war-fighting drills in a combined operational environment and exchange expertise on conventional, unconventional and hybrid threats.
Around 250 US soldiers from US Army’s Stryker Brigade Combat Team are participating in the joint military exercise along with soldiers from Indian Army’s 11th Battalion of Sapt Shakti Command of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles.
