General Nadeem Raza – Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) discusses bilateral relations and security cooperation with high ranking government officials on his two-day visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE)
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), CJCSC General Nadeem Raza called on Lieutenant General Hammad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithy, Chief of Staff UAE Armed Forces and held separate meetings with all Chiefs of tri-services.
During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest, bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and prevailing regional environment particularly with reference to Kashmir and Afghanistan, read the statement issued by ISPR.
The dignitaries also dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of military engagements between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper strategic ties, it added.
Furthermore, General Nadeem Raza also paid a visit to International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) and Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) being held in Abu Dhabi; and also visited stalls by various organizations including Pakistani naval ships.
CJCSC lauded Pakistani companies showcasing country’s potential in the indigenously manufactured military and defense equipment and hardware.
Meanwhile, CJCSC also met General Enzo Vecciarelli, Italy’s Chief of Defense (CHOD) and apprised the Italian dignitary of Pakistan’s capabilities and technological advancements enabling the country to fulfil bulk requirements of defense/military hardware of foreign customers.
