Israel is “crushing all humanitarian values” as it continues its attack on Gaza that have killed more than 10,000 people since October 7, Turkey’s President Erdogan said.
“Israel continues to bomb schools, mosques, churches, hospitals, crushing all humanitarian values,” Erdogan said, adding that 73 percent of those killed are women and children.
He added that Turkey has sent 10 planes carrying 230 tonnes of humanitarian aid to El Arish airport for Gaza with the help of Egypt.
Turkey prepared to take in children from Gaza with cancer
Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca says his country is prepared to take in and treat children with cancer in Gaza.
Talking about a phone call he had with his Israeli counterpart Uriel Menachem Buso, Koca said he mentioned that the only hospital in Gaza providing cancer treatment was no longer operational.
“I reminded him of our need to continue to treat innocent children,” Koca said. “I emphasised that we are prepared for victims, particularly children, to be taken to Egypt by ambulances and then to Turkey by air ambulance. We will begin transporting cancer patients to Turkey as soon as possible.”
