Two Tehreek-e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists are said to have been killed in a gun battle with security forces in South Waziristan.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Norgosa, South Waziristan.
During the raid, two terrorists belonging from TTP Sajna group were killed by the security forces. One militant is said to have been injured during the firefight.
One terrorist is said to have been apprehended and is security forces’ custody.
The militants killed during the IBO have been identified as Usman Ali and Waheed. The two were in fact IED experts and were accused of carrying out various terror activities against security forces.
Militant Usman Ali is reported to have been involved in an attack on security forces on October 14th 2020 last year. Captain Umer Cheema, two JCOs and three soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in the attack, whereas four others were injured.
