Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has confirmed that Interprovincial Education Ministers Conference’s (IPEMC) decision to hold intermediate and matric examinations after June 15th.
Shafqat Mahmood took to social media to apprise IPEMC’s decision regarding intermediate and matric examinations in the country.
It was decided that Board exams would begin after June 15, he tweeted.
According to the federal minister, intermediate and matric exams would be given priority so that results can come in before university admissions.

The exam schedule will be announced by respective boards with priority to grade 12 and 10 to be followed by 11 and 9, he added.
The development comes as earlier Shafqat Mahmood categorically denied various rumors circulating regarding postponement/cancellation of grade 9 and 11 board exams.
A-2 examinations are being held as per schedule across Pakistan. O level exams will be held in the October and earlier. November cycle and the same will be the case for A and AS level exams, the minister had stated.
It is pertinent to know that federal government on April 27th has announced postponement of all examinations till June 15th due to deadly third wave of COVID-19 coronavirus.
