Federal Interior Minister – Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday (today) warned of a ‘hybrid war’ being waged against Pakistan.
Speaking to media in Islamabad, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that an unannounced international hybrid war is being waged by the elements who want to destabilize Islamabad’s relations with China and Afghanistan.
‘We will foil the nefarious designs prepared by enemies and Pakistan will continue its journey towards development,’ said Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
Expressing his views on the recent controversy involving Afghan Ambassador’s daughter, the federal minister noted that there absolutely no evidence of abduction in the Afghan ambassador’s daughter’s incident.
This is not a case of kidnapping. Islamabad Police has reviewed over seven hundred hours of footage from 300 CCTV and surveillance cameras installed on the travelling route of Afghan Ambassador’s daughter while interviewed over 200 citizens, whereas all four taxi drivers have no criminal record, he added.
Interior Minister also urged the Afghan Ambassador to join the investigation process for logical conclusion of the case as the FIR was lodged on his application.
He said Pakistan is a responsible country and full security is being provided to all foreign diplomats in the country
Referring to Dasu incident, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that Chinese government has expressed satisfaction over the investigation being carried out by Pakistan to find out culprits.
Sheikh Rashid said that peace in Afghanistan is necessary for peace in Pakistan and Islamabad will continue its efforts to establish peace in Afghanistan without interfering into the internal affairs of Afghanistan.
Pakistan will accept any decision taken by the Afghan’s about their affairs, concluded the interior minister.
