Rahul Gandhi – former Indian National Congress (INC) President on Friday, lambasted Narendra Modi’s BJP government handling of COVID-19 pandemic, claimed Pakistan tackled the crisis more efficiently and effectively.
The senior INC leader took to social media to slam Modi government’s failure in effectively tackling the COVID-19 outbreak in India resulting in precious loss of lives.
Gandhi highlighted that countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan achieved significant success in curbing coronavirus spread saving countless lives.
“Even Pakistan and Afghanistan handled Covid better than India,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, highlighting the economic repercussions of COVID-19 pandemic Rahul Gandhi shared a graph contending that Pakistan’s GDP, by a significant margin will suffer less with a contraction of 0.4 per cent as compared to that of India’s with 10.3 per cent of expected GDP contraction.
It is pertinent to know that India has reported second highest COVID-19 tally and third highest death toll with more than 7.3 million cases and 112,000 deaths respectively so far.
