Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DGISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has categorically denied presence of organized terror network, infrastructure in Pakistan and that India is conspiring to destabilize Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar highlighted India’s continuing role in destabilizing Pakistan both directly and indirectly.
India’s Aggression and Adverse Role
The Pakistan Army’s spokesperson noted that India’s unprovoked aggression via ceasefire violations (CFVs) along eastern border has been appropriately and befittingly responded to by Pakistan Army troops.
Indian government does not want peace with Pakistan as it had actively supported, sponsored and facilitated terrorist attack inside Pakistan via various proxies and terror outfits.
Citing EU DisinfoLab’s investigative report, Major General Babar Iftikhar said that Indian aggression in Kashmir was cleverly kept in hiding from the international watch, while an unfounded propaganda was unleashed in favor of revocation of Article 370.

Success In Countering Terrorism, anti-Pakistan Activities
Meanwhile, highlighting Pakistan’s success against terrorism and anti-state activities during the last ten years, DGISPR apprised that significant strides have been made in tackling terrorism in Pakistan as more than 0.3 million raids were conducted in the tribal areas alone.
Overall terror incidents have been reduced by a significant margin of 55% across the country, whereas Karachi has reported a 95% decrease in terror incidents along with a 98% reduction in kidnapping for ransom cases.
Highlighting Operation Raddul Fasad’s success, Babar Iftikhar stressed that through this operation, the terrorists’ support base, their facilitators, abettors, financiers and weapons were destroyed to a large extent.
A total of 371, 173 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were conducted and 72,227 weapons were confiscated during the operation. Sindh was subjected to the most number of IBOs standing at 170,079, followed by 89,827 – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 77,263 – Balochistan and 34,004 in Punjab.
“Security forces thwarted 50 terrorist attacks in 2020,” he said.
No Organized Terrorist Infrastructure, Network in Pakistan
The Army’s spokesperson also categorically denied presence of any organized terrorist infrastructure, network inside Pakistan.
“Today, in Pakistan, there is no organized terrorist infrastructure,” said DGISPR.
In 2013, Pakistan was reporting 90 terrorist attacks per year, a figure which has now been reduced to 13. In 2014, Karachi ranked number six on the Crime Index and is now on 103.
Suicide attacks have been decreased by around 97%, said Major General Babar Iftikhar.
Meanwhile, border fencing work on Pak-Afghan, Pak-Iran border is 83% and 37% completed.
