When asked about her views on black magic, she stated that she didn’t believe in these things before coming to Pakistan and getting married, however, she said that she believes in it now but refused to blame such things for her divorce and stating that as Muslims all we can do is to turn to Allah in difficult times.
I have no longing for memories of Bani Gala and I don’t have time for things that have happened in the past, she added.
Furthermore, when asked about the government’s performance in the past two years especially in recent days of coronavirus crisis, she stated that the Prime minister and his government are themselves confused regarding coronavirus policies and there is no clear policy regarding this crisis. Taking a jab at Prime Minister Imran Khan she said;
“On one hand Prime Minister is abstaining from attending parliamentary sessions citing coronavirus concerns, while on the other hand, he is meeting with social media influencers and clerics at Prime Minister House.”
Ms. Khan further went onto criticize the government’s consistent failure to manage the Information Ministry. She highlighted the fact that there has been no significant development in the past two years, Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s constituency still lacks clean drinking water whereas Murad Saeed’s constituency to has been left unattended.
Expressing her views on the role of women in Pakistan she noted that Women are treated as decoration pieces in Pakistan, and they need to be supportive of each other in media, politics, judiciary, and every other field. While expressing her own political ambitions she noted that straight forward women like her have no place in Pakistani politics.
Reham Khan was full of praise for Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto citing them as ‘very well-spoken’. She also went onto praise Maryam Nawaz as a ‘brave lady’.
Sharing her thoughts on her future, Reham Khan said that she doesn’t see herself as a typical housewife ever. “I’m career-oriented and will continue to speak out and work,” she said.
Stating her views on an ideal life partner, Reham Khan noted that people with three traits, i.e. anger issues, stingy and ungenerous nature, and those who are unfaithful are ones to be avoided at all cost.
“I want somebody with whom I can be myself and there’s no pretending,” she added.
