Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) is celebrating 50 years of producing state of the art military and defence equipment.
As per details, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) – General Nadeem Raza was the Chief Guest at the especial event organized to mark the golden jubilee of HIT.
The event was also attended by the ambassador of Ukraine and Defence Attaché of the Peoples Republic of China in Pakistan along with key officials from various of their state companies.
Addressing the event, CJCSC General Nadeem Raza congratulated Heavy Industries Taxila, NORINCO and UKRSPECEXPORT (USE) in achieving hallmarks of excellence besides establishing exemplary relations of mutual cooperation in Tank Technologies during the last five decades.
Heavy Industries Taxila or simply HIT, is a state-owned defence, military contractor, engineering conglomerate, and military corporation located in Taxila, Pakistan.
IT promotes, markets, engineers, develops, and undertakes heavy engineering works for Pakistan’s military and for the civilian law enforcement agencies. Leadership in HIT is provided through the appointments made in the GHQ by the chief of army staff who approves the appointment to its chairmanship.
Besides developing the heavy works, HIT also provides military gears for Pakistan’s military, building krytron and developing technology involving the solid-state lighting.

- 125mm Smooth bore tank gun – for Al-Khalid & Al-Zarrar tanks.
- 155mm Self propelled (SP) gun – for M109A2 (overhauled) self-propelled howitzer.
