Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Haleem Adil Sheikh has been notified as new Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader on Tuesday (today).
As per details, PTI’s senior leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has been appointed as new opposition leader in Sindh Assembly replacing Firdous Shamim Naqvi.
Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani had earlier approved the Haleem Adil’s appointment which was followed by the issuance of notification by Secretary Sindh Assembly.
The development comes as earlier, Firdous Shamim Naqvi submitted his resignation as Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader in light of upcoming Senate elections.
It was the second time that Firdous Shamim Naqvi had sought approval for his resignation from Prime Minister Imran Khan. The party had nominated Haleem Adil Sheikh for the vacant designation which was then confirmed by the approval of PM Imran Khan.
