Five domes of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib which sustained some damage due to strong winds, have been repaired by authorities.
According to the statement issued by Foreign Office spokesperson, the domes were damaged on the night of 17 April due to rainstorm and the repair work was completed within 24 hours.
Responding to Indian demands and queries regarding damage to the Gurdwara, Foreign Office Spokesperson, Aisha Farooqui stated, “India would be well-advised to take steps to effectively protect its minorities and their places of worship, rather than feigning concerns for the rights of minorities elsewhere.”
“The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (PSGPC) and the Sikh community have greatly appreciated the efforts for immediate repair of the damaged domes,” she added.
Sardar Satwant Singh of Pakistan Gurdwara Bhandak Commettie took to social media to back Foreign Office’s statement and said, “Due to heavy rain with thunderstorm and strong winds at DSK on 17/18 April, 2 stalls and 5 domes of Gurdwara got damaged which have been repaired today in 24 hours in record time by the expert team.”
The building of the Gurdwara
