PTI’s Senator Faisal Javed Khan, on Friday, announced that the amount collected in Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund has reached Rs 3 billion mark.
Senator Faisal Javed Khan took to twitter to announce the milestone. He tweeted, “PM Relief Fund touches the 3 Billion mark Masha’ALLAH. So far Rs 3,022 million have been deposited in PM’s COVID19 Relief Fund. Hats off to your Generosity and jazba for contributing towards this great cause. Together we can and together we must keep contributing.”
It is pertinent to know that on April 1, Prime Minister’s COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Fund-2020 was established on the directions of Imran Khan, to provide financial assistance to deserving families who have been struggling due to economic crisis amid COVID-19 outbreak.
Prominent figures and institutions such as Faisal Edhi – head of Edhi welfare organization, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), armed forces (Pak Army, PAF, PN) along with overseas Pakistanis have actively contributed to the national cause aimed at helping poor families struggling due to coronavirus crisis and the resulting lockdown.
