Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has confirmed that he has tested negative for coronavirus after being tested positive two times.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail took to social media in the late hours of Tuesday night to announce the development. Imran Ismail thanked those who prayed for him and also announced to donate plasma, as plasma of COVID-19 patients who have recovered from the disease can be used for treatment of other patients.
“Many thanks to all those who prayed for my health. I will soon be donating blood plasma to those in need,” he tweeted.
Prior to this, Imran Ismail had tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus on multiple occasions, first on April 27, and then again on May 8.
The development comes soon after Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser announced that he had tested negative for COVID-19 and is now back home.
Several politicians have been affected with COVID-19 in Pakistan including MPA Syed Abdul Rasheed of Sindh Assembly, PPP’s MPA Rana Hamir Singh from Sindh Assembly, Abdul Salam Afridi – PTI MPA from Mardan and Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani.
