Dr Sania Nishtar – SAPM on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, on Monday, announced that the federal government has set a new target of helping 16 million people under Ehsaas Emergence Cash Programme.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) took to social media to announce that the federal government has successfully completed its target of disbursing cash to more than 12 million people, following which the new target reach for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme has been increase to over 16 million people.
‘As of now, 10.2 million people across the country have benefitted from cash disbursement worth up to a total of Rs 145.25 billion,” she tweeted.

Prior to this, federal government had extended the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme to Azad Kashmir region which will benefit 138,000 deserving families in the valley.
Addressing a ceremony in Muzaffarabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan had stated that 1.2 million people will benefit from the health cards worth up to Rs 1 million of free medical facilities.
