Federal Minister for Interior – Ijaz Shah on Saturday, revealed that government has received several applications regarding Article 6 trial against Ayaz Sadiq for his controversial and irresponsible remarks.
Speaking at an event in Nakana Sahab, Ijaz Shah said that several petitions have been sent to the government urging PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq to be tried under Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
The development comes as earlier, senior PML-N leader and former Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, ended up in hot waters over his controversial remarks regarding COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa over matters pertaining to the release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan during February 2019 air skirmish between India and Pakistan.

Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DGISPR) – Major General Babar Iftikhar in a one-point press briefing, addressed the controversy and reiterated that the captured Indian pilot was released as a gesture of goodwill and in line with the Geneva Convention.
