Federal government on Friday (today), approved another fuel price hike of up to Rs 3 per liter.
According to details, petrol price has been increased by Rs 3.20 per liter, whereas diesel rates have been increased Rs2.95 per liter.
Meanwhile, prices of kerosene oil and light diesel have been increased by Rs 3 and Rs 4.42 per liter respectively.
The petrol price hike has been announced after the approval from Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The development comes as earlier, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended fuel price hike of up to Rs 11.95 per liter.
In its summary sent to petroleum division, OGRA had recommended a petroleum price hike of up to Rs 11.95 per liter from January 16th.
OGRA had recommended petrol prices to be increased by Rs 11.95 per liter. An Rs 9.57 per liter increase was recommended by the regulatory authority for High speed diesel.
OGRA had also recommended Rs 8 per liter price hike for light diesel and furnace oil.
