ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI) frontline member Shahbaz Gill on Saturday said that the Pakistan People’s Party was attempting to politicize the crisis situation arising out of the global pandemic, which is not tasteful.
Gill said in a recent statement that Sindh’s ruling political party was resorting to creating mountain out of a molehill out of the current health crisis.
He said that PPP claimed that it currently had 6,000 coronavirus testing kits which will last the province effectively for 8 to 9 days going by the current rate of testing.
Another 20,000 coronavirus testing kits were soon to be sent to the province via the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) together with personal protection equipment for 42 hospitals in Sindh, said Gill.
On Friday, Sindh government’s spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the number of coronavirus patients in the province had escalated to 1214 while the death toll stood at 22.
