The Supreme Appellate Court (SAC) on Monday, suspended court decision directing federal ministers and other MNA’s to leave the region in light of Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
Gilgit-Baltistan’s Supreme Appellate Court has suspended regional Chief Court’s decision that directed government ministers and other MNA’s to leave the region in wake of Gilgit-Baltistan Elections 2020.
As per details, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had filed a petition in SAC seeking suspension of the chief court’s decision.
The development comes as earlier, GB’s Chief Court had announced its decision on Friday giving government ministers and other lawmakers to leave the region within three days.
The decision was announced by Chief Court’s two-member bench comprising of Justice Malik Haq Nawaz and Justice Ali Baig.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has accused federal government of pre-poll rigging by conducting political campaigns and unlawfully using government infrastructure for PTI’s election campaign.
PTI’s Ali Amin Gandapur’s speeches are being telecast by several channels in which he is shown making electoral promises to the electorate, argued PPP Election Cell In-charge Taj Haider in his written complaint to Chief Election Commissioner GB.
