Fuel prices in Pakistan have been increased by up to Rs 3 per liter for the month of February as per the notification issued by Prime Minister’s office a day earlier.
As per details, rate of light diesel oil has been increased by Rs 3 per liter, whereas price of high speed diesel and kerosene oil have been increased by Rs 2.88 and Rs 3.54 per liter.
Petrol price has been raised by Rs 2.70 per liter.
The fuel price hike is for the month of February and might be revised by 15th Feb.
The development comes as earlier, OGRA in its summary to petroleum division had recommended an Rs 12 per liter increase in petrol prices.
An increase of Rs 10 per liter increase was recommended for diesel.
The increase in petrol and diesel prices has been recommended on the basis of increment in levy to Rs 30 per liter. Currently petrol and diesel are being sold at Rs 21.56 and Rs 23.9 per liter.
