The 11-member French team of Airbus has extended its stay in Pakistan after visiting PK-8303 crash site on Wednesday.
French experts landed in Karachi on Tuesday via a Airbus 338 special flight to assist Pakistani authorities in investigating the causes of the crash that killed 97 people.
The Airbus team has already been briefed by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), along with the four member inquiry committee formed by the federal government to probe into the incident.
Furthermore, the team as demanded to be provided with the complete record of the crashed Airbus A-320, including the details regarding its service and maintenance records of the previous year.
It is to be noted that the authorities have recovered the plane’s Flight Data Recorder (FDR), however, its cockpit voice recorder (CVR) is still missing and is expected to reveal crucial details regarding the final moments before the crash.
The details required by the French team also include details regarding the number of times the plane was put through checking process, the number of times plane’s landing gear was serviced, the engineers that worked on it and what methods and resources were utilized in servicing the plane.
According to sources, Airbus team will be staying in Pakistan for five more days in order to thoroughly investigate the incident and determine the causes of the crash.
