A four-year old boy is reported to have been killed from injuries sustained from kite string in Lahore.
Ali Asghar – a four-year old boy lost his life after sustaining critical injuries from kite string in Lahore on Friday.
Ali Asghar was travelling on motorcycle with his father in Lahore’s Shafiqabad area when his neck was caught up in a kite string which critically wounded the four year old.
The boy was immediately rushed to hospital succumbing to his wounds eventually.
Victim’s grandfather – Niaz Ali, has accused police of coercive tactics to persuade the family from abstaining legal charges.
An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway by local police.
Taking notice of the incident, Ashfaq Khan – DIG Operations Punjab Police, has directed SSP City Division to submit a report on the incident within 24 hours.
It is to be noted that kite flying has been banned in Pakistan since 2005 on the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
