At least four social workers have been killed in a car attack in Mir Ali, North Waziristan on Monday (today).
Four social workers – all women, were travelling in a car when they were ambushed by armed assailants near Ippi village, Mirl Ali North Waziristan.
The four social workers succumbed to their injuries. The dead bodies have been shifted to tehsil headquarters hospital.
Sanaullah Abbasi – IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has took notice of the incident directing North Waziristan DPO to submit a detailed report on the killings.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has strongly condemned the incident, demanding state ensure justice and apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous incident.
HRCP shares the grief of the families and colleagues of the four women who lost their lives, read the statement issued by HRCP.
The deceased women used to work for an NGO that works towards women empowerment in tribal areas and instill, impart skills to tribal women.
No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack so far.
