Four people are said to have been killed after a fire broke out in a three-storey building in Karachi’s Hijrat Colony area on Saturday (today).
Four people have died in fire that broke out in a three-storey residential building in Hijrat Colonoy neighbourhood of Karachi on Saturday.
The deceased include two women and a minor girl, including the wife and daughter of policeman named Tauqeer who was also injured in the blaze.
Meanwhile seven people were wounded in the incident are being treated at the Civil Hospital, said the police.
According to sources a total of four families comprising of 24 individuals were residing in the building.
There is a hotel on the ground floor of the building but the fire broke out in the cushion factory located on the first floor, said fire brigade officials.
Rescue teams have been facing in conducting relief operations due to narrow streets and congestion.
The fire has been doused down and the cooling process is underway, added officials.
