Tabish Gauhar – former CEO K-Electric, has been appointed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Power.
According to the notification issued by the cabinet division Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday, appointed former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) K-Electric, Tabish Gauhar as Special Assistant on Power.
“The Prime Minister, in terms of rule 4 (6) of the rules of business, 1973 read with serial No 1A of Schedule V-A of the said Rules has been pleased to appoint Mr Tabish Gauhar as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Power, with immediate effect,” read the official notification.
Tabish Gauhar served as Chairman and CEO K-Electric for seven years and retired from the post in 2015.
During his service the power supply company managed to successfully observed profit after 17 years.
Tabish Gauhar was also a part of US$ 1.5 billion Hub Power Project between 1994 to 1999.
He also founded Oasis Energy Consultants Limited and has worked with Abraaj Group as well.
