Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has been booked in a foreign funding case in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
As per details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a case against JUI-F accusing the latter of receiving illegal foreign funding.
PTI MNA Farrukh Habib has filed an application at ECP contending that JUI-F leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has admitted party leaders receiving foreign funding.
JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other party leaders have been accused of receiving foreign funding from Libya and Iraq.
The petition, also includes the transcript of the concerned interview.
Furthermore, Farrukh Habib has demanded JUI-F to submit receipts of funding received by the party.
Prior to this, PM Imran Khan reprimanded opposition parties for their raising baseless accusations against PTI on foreign funding grounds.
The premier accentuated that such entities who attempted to trap PTI are now themselves entangled in foreign funding allegations.
